NEW!!! -CUSTOM EC STYLE STRAT "BLACK ONE" (except pickguard assembly) built by MARC RUTTERS-
Description:
This great strat was custom built to my personal specifications in late 2013 by the great american
luthier Marc Rutters in of Rutters guitars, in San Diego, California.
The complete specifications are:
BODY:
- 2 pieces light alder (very light and resonant) 57 deep contour. Thin-skin black nitro lacquer with
minium undercoat. - Routing for Clapton strat mid boost active circuit and battery on the back.
- Cavities painted with conductive chielding paint.
- Original Fender vintage style bridge tremolo assembly got from a Eric Johnson Strat
(with higher mass steel block) for more sustain and resonance with 5 springs..
- Vintage style strap buttoms.
NECK:
- One piece quartersawn AAA flamed hard maple.
- 22 Jescar vintage (FW8042) nickel silver frets.
- Radius: 9,5
- "V" Neck shape hand sculptured and cloned from my Masterbuilt Clapton Strat
(1st: 0.82", 12th: 0.92").
- Finish: (here something very special, Super Glue finish, applied thin by Marc, he made
several attempts to get the best results, If you don't know this finish was only available in Fender for the stars like EC himself, (the guitar used in 24 nights fr example, had super glue finish). It is toxic for the fumes to apply for that no much people want to do it, but it's just the best finish that I have tried, super fast, no sticky like lacquer. Brand is Hot Stuff water-based glue, which is the same used on the Fender Custom Shop 90's for Eric, I contrasted this asking directly to two of his personal builders in that time, Jay W. Black and Mike Stevens.
- Raw unbleanched bone nut expertly cut and polished. - Truss rod at the heastock like a normal EC
strat.
- Original Gotoh vintage chrome staggered tuners.
- Butterfly vintage style string tree. The total weight for this guitar is of 3.3 kg. Neck plate and screws,
and chromed jack is included. The condition is great, has the typical dings here and there for the thin of the body finish, nitrocellulose is very fragile but that will give a natural relic worn look very cool with time and use, very little fret wear.
I had installed a EC strat pickguard assembly with gold lace sensors and sounds
fantastic, very lively and warm, resonant, with much sustain.
If you are a Clapton fan and want to play the closet possible to the guitars that he played on stage
during the 90's but don't want to pay so much for a Masterbuilt, besides 3 years of waiting list to have a built by Todd Krause..this is your guitar! |
Price: 1800 euros
